XPS Boot Problem

My dell XPS desktop will not start properly. I caught my 3 year old son pushing the power button and ever since it will not properly start. IT keeps giving the options to start in other modes, but it will not. It then will just keep restarting. Can anyone please help me. The operating system is wondows XP
Thanks so much!

It gives you option to boot to your operating system and Recovery Mode and then enter F9 or something right? You push enter to boot to Windows XP and then will not boot right?
You may have to check to see if your son got into BIOS menu. I believe that is accessed by pushing F2 while booting up. You would want to use default settings to start. It's hard to say what your son actually did. I would start in BIOS if you can't boot.
Let us know if any success.
