ok so i went to delete the Mcafee security center and about 10sec. later my mouse stoped working. i got the mouse to work but now when i click on some things it will open up but nothing will be on the page and sometimes things won't open up at all, i can't even go into system restore or when i play halo online a thing pops up in the corner and it will keep freezing for like 10sec, any idea what this is and how i could fix it'? please help

Hi there sounds like some of your system files became corrupt. I would recommend you do the following:

First thing is do run a check disk:

1. click on start
2. click on run
3. type cmd and push enter
4. at the command prompt type: chkdsk /f
5. push enter, then y and then reboot your machine.

If you have errors on the drive check disk will fix them.

Check to see how the system responds after this has been completed.

If you are still having some issues, the next thing to do would be to run a system file checker. This will require you to have your Windows XP cd-rom.

1. Place the XP cd rom into your drive
2. click on start
3. click on run
4. type: sfc /scannow
5. push enter

This will now check your system files for any corrupt files and replace them will good files off your cd. Once this is complete, run Windows Update.

Give the steps a try and let us know if this has helped.
