Random Re-boot Driving Me CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys
long time, no speak.
Built my system in the new year but am suffering from totally random re-boots.
Sometimes the machine totally re-boots three times in ten minutes & sometimes is fine for two or three weeks.
I have done a memory check (MemCheck) & temperature check (SpeedFan) and everything appears okay. The re-boots started when playing graphics intensive games but now does it when playing non-graphics games such as 'Football Manager' & I'm at a total loss now.
Thanks in advance for your help & I do appreciate what an awkward problem this may be to solve,

Slime.

P.S. I'm on XP SP3, Asus P5Q-Pro, Q6600 Quad Core, Sapphire HD4870 & nothing has been overclocked.
P.P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, not sure if it's a hardware or software thing.

Hi, I suspect that you are getting a BSOD but the system is automatically rebooting so that you don't see the BSOD.

Go into Control panel -> System -> Advanced. In the section called 'Startup and Recovery' click the settings button. In the 'System Failure' section make sure 'Automatically Restart' is unchecked. If it is, when you get a Blue Screen Of Death you can then note down more of the diagnostic information and hopefully that will give us a clue as to where the problem lies.
