i have an older computer for my son that has been working fine. i shut it down the other day and now it wont start back up. i noticed that when i shut it down before it was starting to take longer to start back up.. i would push the button then thirty or so seconds later it would fire up thanks for any help

do you get any lights on the computer when you push the power button? If not then it looks like your power supply needs to be replaced. Let me know if this is the case, if not we'll look at possible other issues.

no lights no nothing. acts like almost the push button isn't working. thanks for your info let me know what to do next thanks

SICS has already told you what to do. Get yourself a new power supply (psu), whip the case off and install it and you're done. Make sure to get one the same wattage as your old one... one with a little more would do no harm either and make sure they fit into your case. Prob easiest just to get same model psu.
