I am still using CA Supercalc for Windows 1.0, in a virtual Win3.1 machine on my Vista box. This program does things that MS Excel doesn't do (multi-dimension) but has not been supported by CA for some years.

The questions: Does anyone know how to make it work directly in Vista? (It won't work in Win98, and that is well documented.) OR Does anyone know where it would be possible to obtain a copy of the version that was released (but not promoted) for Win98?

Blimey, you are running an old app there. In fact that's a DOS app if I remember rightly.

I am sure that Excel will do everything that you want except maybe slightly differently to the way you have achieved things before.

Excel will happily work in three dimensions, as well as columns & rown it will work across multiple sheets too.

unfortunately because it won't work in windows 98 it for sure will not work in vista, as vista has changed many things with backwards compatibility.

the only thing I can suggest is having a look at google and see if you can dig up something. Another place to look although not sure if you've have any better luck is on usenet in one of the various binary groups they have..
