I have a problem with my computer regarding sound and microphone. I play online games and I use a microphone a lot of times but recently, while playing, my microphone just stopped working...

When I turned off the game and went checking the sound and voice definitons in the Control Panel, I found out that my microphone was recording and sending sounds to the computer but I was not talking to the microphone. I disconnected the microphone from the computer but still, it was recording a sound.

By that time I was listening to a music on the computer and when I stopped the music, the microphone bars indicating voice stopped appearing... And when I turned the music back on, the microphone bars went on again.

So, I think that my computer is recording sounds from himself and I've tried everything to put it back normal ways but it just don't work. I just don't know why this happened.

I can´t use the microphone anymore because when I turn it on during the game, my friends listen to themselves in what looks like an echo. They can't listen to me, and the computer records what they say and sends the same information back by the microphone output.

Does anyone have any ideia of what should I do to stop this?
