i use windows xp operating system and mcafee7 antivirus. if i install the latest file(e.g.5377) is it necessary to install the update file that was released few days ago(e.g. 5370) when i know that a virus can be removed by the file 5370?

The DAT updates for McAfee are accumulative. i.e. you only have to install the latest one. You should also check that the new engine is installed too. It should be 5300, the previous one was 5200.
