Boot into 'safe-mode' by restarting the Pc and hitting the F* key as the BIOS finishes and before Windows starts to load. You should get a text-based menu of choices. Top of the list is run in safe mode - choose this. Once Windows has loaded you will have a limited version of Windows runing and no normal startup programs should run. Hopefully the virus will be inactive at this point. Run full anti-virus scans now to see if they can remove any traces of the infection.

let us know what happens so we can advise further.

Glad that you are ok now.

Make sure all anti-virus/malware/spyware checkers you have are right up-to-date with their signatuers and do full deep scans of your hard drive(s) & flash drives/memory sticks that might possibly still have some traces of infection.
